Work Session

Attendance: Rich Hall, Brad Erwin, Carol Georgen, LaVonne Beck, Sheri Sexton, Erika Hippe (5:20pm), Ross Mattke, Eric Bartleson, Rita Young, Tedd Kruger, Sue Tangen, Mikel Wheeler, Carol Cravath, Lynn Zabel, Don Pavelka, Jane Timm. Visitors: Marcia Schultz, Eileen Kronebusch, Teddy DePompolo, Janice Draxler, Paul C. Aarsvold, Amanda Eppen, Rose Kinsley, Kari Donze, George Rahman, Bruce Iverson, Ben Peter, Trish Iverson, Rebekah Hermann, Jennifer Garin, Jim Pick and Nancy Pick.

Meeting was called to order by Chair Sexton at 5:04pm.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Moved by Hall, seconded by Cravath to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously.

Clark Olstad gave a presentation to clarify the 8 period day versus the 7 period day for the junior high students that will be implemented next year.

Athletic Facilities were discussed. What sports will be where and which levels will play and/or practice where.

Head coaching criteria was discussed. There will be an interviewing committee who will take care of the interviews for the head coaching positions along with certain criteria. They hope to bring a recommendation to the P-E-M Board at the February 27th meeting.

The location of the District office was discussed. Superintendent Bartleson recommended that the District Office remain where it is and expand into the adjacent room(s) as needed.

The date for the Board Training Session was discussed and hopefully they will settle on a date soon.

There were updates on the bids for maintenance, food service and transportation.

The policy committee gave an update.

Moved by Erwin, seconded by Cravath to adjourn the meeting at 7:40pm. Motion passed unanimously.
