ATV Safety Training

The Bluff Country ATV Club will be conducting an ATV Safety Training Course on

Saturday, April 21st at 9:00am, Peace United Methodist Church, Elgin.

This class has been rescheduled and relocated!  

Saturday, May 5th in Rushford, MN at the Rushford Snowmobile Club Building.  

As you come in to Rushford on Highway 43, take a right on Enterprise Drive by M&M Lawn and Leisure.  Follow the signs to the Snowmobile Club Building.

 Effective January 1, 2006, anyone who operates an ATV and is born after July 1, 1987 must complete the ATV Safety Training Course before operating an ATV.  This is a required course for youth to ride on state lands and trails. The class is for ATV riders ages 12 and up. 11 year olds may also attend class, but their certificate is not valid until their 12th birthday.  Adults who are interested in learning the valuable safety skills are also welcome to sign-up for the class.  

 Students must pre-register with Community Education.  Students must complete the MN ATV Rider’s Safety Class online prior to coming to class!  Please go to this website to take the online course ATVcourse.com.  Make sure to print out the proof of completion voucher and bring it with you to class!   On the day of class, wear sturdy shoes or boots, long pants, and a DOT helmet (if you have one). ATV’s will be supplied by the Bluff Country ATV Club for the outdoor training course.

Location: Rushford Snowmobile Club Building
 – Lunch is provided
Fees: $10 per student payable to PEM Community Education at time of registration, $29.95 online course fee and $10 to the DNR upon completion of the course to get the actual ATV Safety Certificate.

Steps to Complete ATV Safety Training:
1) Pre-register with Community Education, and pay the $10 fee (payable to PEM Community Ed).

2) Go to atvcourse.com to take the online part of the class ($29.95 fee), print the voucher of completion, and bring it with you to class.
3) On the day of class, students need to wear appropriate clothing, including sturdy shoes, long pants, and a helmet (if you have one).
4) Upon completion of the class, go online to register the student with the DNR and pay the $10 fee by charge card or debit card.
